The publisher Rocket Panda Games shared a new trailer for Phantom Breaker: Omnia. This video focuses on the ninja Yuzuha Fujibayashi, one of the playable characters in the cast. Fighting as a close range combatant, strength actually isn’t her best suit. Instead, she’s quick in her ninjutsu skills alternating attacks with her short sword Shokaku and her kunai Zuikaku.
Story-wise, Yuzuha dreams to restore an era long past. Carrying on the traditions of her family, she hopes to restore the Shogunate one day. Another important goal of her is finding the True Map of Gold, a mission her family inherited from back in the Bakufu Era. The character is voiced by Aki Toyosaki in Japanese and by Amber Connor in English.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia is the most up-to-date edition of the Mages-developed 2D fighting game, Phantom Breaker, which unfortunately never came west. Despite that, its beat’em up spin-off Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds got English-translated editions in multiple systems, making it a very unusual situation.
The worldwide release of Phantom Breaker: Omnia will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC -via Steam– on March 15, 2022. This definitive edition will feature all previous characters plus two newcomers for a total of 20 options. It’ll also have English and Japanese audio, an extra fighting style option called Omnia, all the stories from both previous releases of the game, a remixed soundtrack, and various balancing changes.
