Atlus Survey May Be Hinting at More Persona Fighters
Sega Asia has put out a new buyer’s survey following the release of Persona 4 Ultimax. This survey might just hint at future Persona fighters, with a couple of questions in particular really standing out as potentially interesting.
As reported by Persona Central, one question specifically asks if players would buy a sequel to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The full question is:
24. If there is a sequel to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, would you want to buy it?
- I would definitely buy it.
- I would probably buy it.
- Uncertain.
- I would probably not buy it.
- I would not buy it.
Plus, Twitter user regularpanties translated a different series of questions from the Japanese version of the survey, which asks if players would want more Persona fighters, and if the story of a fighter is important to those filling out the survey. The tweet is below:
so the atlus buyer's survey for ultimax brought some…interesting questions.
"Would you like to see the Persona series delve into fighting games like this one in the future?"
"If yes, how so?"
"Do you value Story in a fighter?" pic.twitter.com/GWYlTRfgbo— Pan – L'idole superstar et supertrash (@regularpanties) March 17, 2022
If you want more Persona fighters but have yet to grab the rerelease of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, check out our video review below, as well as our full written review, in which we say: “Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a great anime fighting game with plenty of depth for competitive players while remaining accessible for newcomers; all brought forward to modern platforms. More competitive players may want to wait until the eventual rollback update, but this new release easily revives this series for a few more rounds.”
