New ‘Perfect Dark’ Revealed in Cinematic Trailer, We’re Stoked

Microsoft decided to announce Perfect Dark is in development for Xbox Series X|S and PC. We are not sure if the game will release on Xbox One as the only logos that we can see don’t reveal any hints.

The reveal trailer shows some first-person movement through the environments, which sets up the adventure as Agent Dark appears at the end in front of some pyramids as she says, “This is just the beginning.” It looks to me that she has some unfinished business, and we are completely on board.

Perfect Dark is a Rare-developed series that first released on Nintendo 64 in the year 2000. A remastered version of Perfect Dark was released on Xbox 360, developed by 4J Studios as a remaster of the N64 version. Players assume the role of Joanna Dark as she puts a stop to the lurking conspiracy of a corporation called daraDyne. This remastered version of the game was also included in the Rare Replay release, which is available now on Xbox One.

Not much is known about Perfect Dark or where it picks up in the series. In an age where reboots are frequent, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of them.
