New ‘Pac-Man World Re-Pac’ Trailer Compares Graphics to Original PS1 Release
IGN has shared a new trailer for the upcoming Bandai Namco-developed Pac-Man World Re-Pac, a remake of the original Pac-Man World released for the PlayStation 1.
Several areas are showcased throughout this video, highlighting the new coats of paint various facets have been applied with. To be honest, the original version has held up better than I thought it did when considering its 1999 release. Still, I’m also a fan of how the reimagined visuals look, as the vibrancy I associate with this game has been excellently captured.

This is a classic and beloved 3D platforming adventure where the iconic Pac-Man courageously entered a new genre so many years ago. Hopefully, this remake is done justice. Players will explore various locales to save his family. Several moves are also available such as the butt-bounce and the rev-roll.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 26, 2022.
Further, a limited edition is available for pre-order ($119.99), granting a Chogokin Chrome Noir figure and a bonus Chrome Noir Chogoskin cosmetic DLC.
