New Lost Judgment Trailer Highlights Investigative Actions and the Tools of the Trade; Detective Dog Debuts

Sega of America has uploaded a brand new trailer for the upcoming detective thriller, Lost Judgment. This trailer highlights several of the game’s features, most notably the tools and tasks regarding investigations and the shenanigans players can find themselves confronting within the confines of the School Stories. The enhanced combative mechanics and newly introduced minigames are briefly showcased as well.

Investigations now wield several more facets to their processes, with a mix of returning and new mechanics diversifying them tenfold. For instance, the Noise Amp is a noteworthy gadget that will assuredly be rather useful for eavesdropping due to its efficacy at heightening sounds from a distance. The Detective Dog has also made its debut, as it will lead Yagami to leads and even aid in combat.

Lost Judgment is a sequel to Judgment, continuing the story of the ex-lawyer, now detective Takayuki Yagami. As was the case of the previous game, it’ll continue offering action combats as the series is supposed to carry the torch of the old Yakuza gameplay. In contrast, the Yakuza franchise will continue as a turn-based RPG moving forward. Besides the Crane and Tiger styles, a new counter-focused Snake style will be included.

Lost Judgment will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on September 24, 2021.
