New Hellblade 2 Trailer, More of a Development Update Than a True Gameplay Trailer
During the Xbox Games Showcase Extended, Ninja Theory gave an update to the development of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
The developer mentions that they have finished a good portion of the game, but haven’t entered full production as they are still researching and training their actors to get everything right. The trailer is more of a showcase of what the developer is working on and shows very little gameplay.
Chief Creative Ninja at Ninja Theory Tameem Antoniades mentions that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is not a straight sequel. The game is set in 9th Century Iceland. He mentions that the combat is enhanced to be “extra will and brutal.” They have also collaborated with Epic Games to deliver better-animated character renders.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is confirmed for Xbox Series X, a release date has not been provided.
