Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced that it will reveal a brand-new Gundam anime series during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, with a dedicated panel, themed booth, and free GUNPLA workshops planned throughout the event.
The announcement will take place during the “GUNDAM Showcase 2026 – Unveil the Next Gundam” panel on July 23 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM PT in Room 6BCF. Guests from Japan will present the new series and discuss the franchise’s future.
Attendees at the panel will receive a commemorative gift bag while supplies last. The giveaway includes a Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe mini poster, a T-shirt, a promotional Gundam Card Game card for Gundam Rogue Orbit, an inflatable Beam Saber, a 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Workshop Kit Ver., a Gunpla shopping bag, a Gundam headband, and an introductory Gundam booklet.
Fans interested in building model kits can participate in free GUNPLA workshops, where attendees will assemble a model from start to finish and take it home afterward. The workshops will be held daily beginning 30 minutes after the exhibit hall opens in Mezzanine 19. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lastly, Bandai Namco Filmworks will stream a special presentation through the Gundam Channel. The broadcast begins on July 23 at 11 AN PT and will include the same new anime announcement revealed during the Comic-Con panel.
