New Guilty Gear Gameplay Trailer Introduces May
Arc System Works launched a new trailer for a brand new Guilty Gear entry to be released in 2020.
In celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary, the publisher released a brand new trailer during CEOtaku2019. The trailer introduces the upbeat and playful fighter, May. However, don’t let her appearance fool you she is a member of the Jellyfish air pirates and has an undying love for Johnny, the leader.
Trading in her orange coat for a sweater, May’s new design fits her well. Her attacks also incorporate water combos where she can call sea creatures to her aid.
The publisher also added that the next character trailer will release during SEAMajor 2019 in Singapore on October 12 through 13.
Guilty Gear was originally created in 1998 as a 2D fighting game for hardcore fans of the genre. The series continued this approach in its design as well as excelling in creating a pretty metal and upbeat soundtrack for every title. Currently, the newest title in the series was released in 2017 as Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, which introduced 2 new playable characters and added a rebalancing update to the rest of the roster. Additionally, the updated game also released on PC and console simultaneously, which was a first for the series.
