New Guilty Gear Reveals Axl in Gameplay Trailer With 6 Character Demo Coming to Arcrevo America 2019

Arc System Works launched a new trailer for a brand new Guilty Gear entry to be released in 2020.

This trailer introduces Axl Low who is back to the series with his Kusarigama in hand. Through a preview of his gameplay, Axl will use his weapon to execute recognizable combos along with a few new moves and wearing some brand new thread.

Additionally, the trailer revealed that the game will be playing during Arcrevo America 2019 along with 6 playable characters. However, as some will quickly point out, there have only been four announced. Well, that means we’ll be getting two more very soon. Arcrevo America 2019 takes place in Irvine, California from November 16 through 17 at the UC Irvine Student Center.

Guilty Gear was originally created in 1998 as a 2D fighting game for hardcore fans of the genre. The series continued this approach in its design as well as excelling in creating a pretty metal and upbeat soundtrack for every title. Currently, the newest title in the series was released in 2017 as Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, which introduced 2 new playable characters and added a rebalancing update to the rest of the roster. Additionally, the updated game also released on PC and console simultaneously, which was a first for the series.
