Developer miHoYo has released a new Genshin Impact teaser trailer introducing us to yet another brand new character coming out in the upcoming Version 2.4. In this teaser trailer, we’re introduced to Yun Jin, a dancer and opera singer who commonly makes her performances at the Heyu Tea House.
According to the developers in the Version 2.4 Special Program, Yun Jin is a Geo polearm character well-suited as strong support to the Normal Attacks of the units in your party. Furthermore, she will be the first character in Genshin Impact to feature two voice actresses. In order to portray Yun Jin as an opera master, a famous opera singer from China, Yang Yang will be voicing her opera performances, alongside the voice actors of different languages to deliver her dialogue in daily life.
This means that regardless of the language of the voiceover you play with, Yun Jin’s opera performances will always be in Chinese, in order to give players the most authentic performance possible, since Liyue Harbor is based off the port towns of China.
The following quote describing Yunjin is provided:
The people of Liyue who frequent the opera know that besides opera that focuses on the supernatural, the new opera performances written by Yun Jin which sing about humanity and the many faces of the world are also masterpieces. Each song brings deep emotion to the audience that one cannot help but sigh when the song is over. Life mirrors opera, and so the beauty of flowers and the moon tells of reality.
And just as opera reflects life, why not make the most of every moment?
