New Dragon Quest Tact Trailer Showcases Upcoming Dragon Quest V Collaboration with the Zenithian Brides

Square Enix has posted a brand new trailer for their free-to-play mobile title, Dragon Quest Tact, demonstrating the content players can expect from its upcoming collaboration with Dragon Quest V.

Alongside the expected showcase of gameplay against fiends of various kinds, the three highlights of the collaboration, the Zenithian Brides, Bianca, Nera, and Debora were shown off in their combative and interactive capacities. When they get kidnapped, it falls upon players to rescue them from the monsters’ clutches atop several towers.

Mega Boss Battles are also introduced where players can battle Bjorn the Behemoose multiple times. His health carries over between attempts as well. With him taking up multiple spots of the battlefield alongside dishing out attacks with numerous squares of range, Bjorn is assuredly a force to be reckoned with.

At the end of the trials that players undergo, The Circle of Water is awarded, but it can only be given to 1 of the 3 Brides.

Dragon Quest Tact allows players to befriend, team up, and lead a group of monsters through numerous encounters. Throughout this adventure, players can assemble a roster of monsters from across the Dragon Quest series to take into battle. Through fights, monsters will level up, but players can also equip and customize them as well.

Battles in the game feature a layer of strategy as players move monsters on the field to get an advantage over the opponent. Furthermore, monsters have special abilities, strengths, and weaknesses that need to be taken into consideration. Monster collecting is kept separate from the game’s gacha systems as players are free to grow their monsters.

Dragon Quest Tact is directed by Yuji Horii and features music from composer Koichi Sugiyama and monster designs from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
