Neverwinter Reveals Jewel of the North Update Release Date and Changes to Leveling System

Perfect World Entertainment revealed that the Cryptic Studios-developed MMORPG Neverwinter’s next module, Jewel of the North, will launch on PC on July 27, 2021, and on PlayStation and Xbox One this fall.

Jewel of the North is the newest major update for Neverwinter that taps into its Dungeons & Dragons roots, introducing the multi-skilled Bard class and other quality-of-life improvements. In addition, there’s an added streamlined leveling system that makes it easier for all players to experience what the MMORPG has to offer.

“With Jewel of the North, we wanted to make it easier than ever for players to create a character and set out on adventures throughout the Forgotten Realms,” said Matt Powers, Executive Producer for Neverwinter. “The leveling experience has been streamlined, now better aligning with the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop experience, and we’re extremely excited to bring the highly-expressive Bard class to Neverwinter.”

Jewel of the North is the first module to improve the leveling system since its launch in 2013. The max level cap will be changed from 80 to 20 so new and returning players can reach the epic-level content quicker, 10 – 12 hours. Further, veteran players will have the option to level up their alternate character and have more players to party up with for challenge quests.

Players mid-way through leveling will be boosted to level 20, and those who currently have max level characters will revert to level 20 while retaining their stats and item power levels. In addition, all existing players are eligible for a new gear pack claimed from the Rewards Claim Agent.

Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMORPG available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
