NetEase Games Announces Free-to-Play Action Game Naraka: Bladepoint

During the Game Awards 2019, NetEase Games and developer 24 Entertainment unveiled Naraka: Bladepoint, a close-range action free to play multiplayer game coming to steam on 2020.

The trailer showcases two characters taking out enemies and freely moving thought the environment with a fast-acting grappling hook onto foes, trees, and buildings in “a forsaken realm of splendid landscapes as well as inexplicable enigmas. This is possible due to the title’s “boundless movement system that allows players to climb, hang, and even parkour.”

The grappling hook seems to be the game’s main gameplay feature, given that it has been designed to be aimed at whatever players want and give a “new experience in world exploration.” The game also features a “sophisticated yet beginner-friendly combat system” with block and parry mechanics.

Naraka: Bladepoint seems to be 24 Entertainment first game while NetEase games are known for publishing Crusader of Light, Tome of the Sun and Onmyoji.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the game when more information comes out in the next year, seeing that it is a new title from a seemingly unproven studio yet a fast-paced, high-quality gameplay
