NES Remake ‘Shadow of the Ninja – Reborn’ Coming West to Consoles & PC Spring 2024

ININ Games and Natsume Atari have announced that the Tengo Project-developed Shadow of the Ninja – Reborn will come West for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in Spring 2024.

This entry is a remake of the 1990 NES title Shadow of the Ninja, which went by Blue Shadow for European and Australian audiences.

Players will be able to control either of the main characters, Hayate or Kaede, each boasting unique skills to handle foes and obstacles differently. Plus, the 16-bit presentation has been carefully refined, and original composer Iku Mizutani has returned. Studio Dynamic Production from the original release has also come back for the artwork this time around.

Its price has not yet been determined, but the following nine languages will be supported:

  • Japanese
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Italian
  • Spanish
  • Korean
  • Simplified and Traditional Chinese
