Idea Factory International has shared a brief interview they conducted with Neptunia series producer Naoko Mizuno and the co-producer of Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars, Makoto Kitano, to discuss the title’s conceptualization and development. The two answer rather expected questions such as why the Senran Kagura cast was included and some of their favorite parts of the game’s creation. It’s not too intricate of an interview, but it may potentially satiate residual curiosity for general fans.

Initially titled Senran Nin Nin Ninja Taisen Neptune: Shoujo-tachi no Kyouen in Japan, the game features characters from across both series through an action RPG narrative. The game is a hack and slash adventure where players assume the role of either the goddesses or Ninja students to fight against waves and enemies and bosses.
The story revolves around the national struggle of Daimyo of each country. This begins the Super Ninja War, which is probably more exposition than we needed to get these two franchises together.
