Team17 announced that the Veewo Games-developed roguelite action game, Neon Abyss, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 14.
Neon Abyss is set in a highly stylized world where players are sent on a mission by Hades. During gameplay, players will need to go through procedurally generated rooms as they take out rooms full of enemies and play a few mini-games along the way. The game has hundreds of items to collect and pets to hatch and evolve along the way, but when the inevitable death occurs, they will be able to return stronger and more prepared to take on the Abyss once again.
Currently, a free demo of Neon Abyss is available to download on Steam for those wanting to preview the game before launch. The time is limited in the demo, depending on which difficulty the players choose, 15 minutes for those on ‘easy’, 18 minutes on ‘medium’, and 24 minutes of mayhem for those who choose ‘hard’.
The publisher released a new trailer for Neon Abyss showing off its key features and characters. The trailer gives viewers a look at the weapons, randomized rooms, and mini-games that the stylized action game has to offer.
