NEO: The World Ends With You Shares Kick-Ass Opening Movie in New Video
Square Enix has released the opening video for the JRPG NEO: The World Ends With You coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 27, 2021, and PC-via The Epic Games Store in Summer 2021.
The trailer highlights all of the characters and the environment that players will be able to explore when the game launches. One thing is for sure though, it’s pretty flashy.
The story of NEO: The World Ends With You takes place in Shibuya. However, the main protagonist, Rindo, felt like something was off, which leads him to witness a psychic battle in the center of the Scramble Crossing. This is when he’s introduced to the “Reapers’ Game.”
Sadly, this game comes with a few life-threatening rules: If you don’t win, you cease to exist. Now, Rindo and his friend Fret fight against other players to find a way home. Rindo is the newest player of the Reapers’ Game who is fairly laid back and to himself. After he enters the game, he finds himself as the new leader of the Wicked Twisters group.
