Neo Atlas 1469 Gets Nintendo Switch Release Date and New Gameplay Trailer

NIS America announced that the Artdink developed exploration game Neo Atlas 1469 will launch on Nintendo Switch on April 9.

Neo Atlas is a series developed by Artdink which has been receiving entries since the early ’90s. In Neo Atlas 1469, players will set sail for 15th Century Europe during a time when people were unsure of what the world looked like and needed explorers to help clear things up.

Additionally, a new trailer was posted showing how players will be tasked with mapping out the world and approving designs to make traveling easier for explorers. During gameplay, there will be options to pick your admirals, establish a fleet, and set course to the great unknown as players shape the world as they see fit. Each playthrough will be different and new surprises will randomly affect players throughout their quest.

Neo Atlas 1469 is available now on PC-via Steam and holds a mostly positive review score from players.

You can watch the new gameplay trailer below giving a preview of the gameplay flow in the game as well as showing the game running on Switch:

Author’s take: This game looks like insane fun so I’m kinda nervous about having all of this power to control the shape of the world.
