Need for Speed Unbound Highlights Driving Effects & Visual Style

Publisher EA and developer Criterion have shared a new gameplay video for their upcoming racing title, Need for Speed Unbound, highlighting its art direction. Players can carry out various levels of customization with driving effects, primarily revolving around graffiti-like effects that help make their performances more distinct.

Still, those who prefer to go vanilla can choose not to have any of these special effects enabled. They are essentially treated like any other car part, meaning they can never be put on in the first place.

Additionally, art director Darren White recently shared a blog post detailing this entry’s visual style.
