Focus Home Interactive announced that the Rogue Factor-developed third-person tactical action game, Necromunda: Underhive Wars, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on September 8.
The publisher also released a new gameplay trailer that shows how the title blends tactical and action mechanics together. The trailer also gives players a look at the environments and character designs, which reflect a post-apocalyptic world. The setting is inspired by the Hive World in Warhammer 40,000 and will feature solo and online fights up to four players.
Necromunda: Underhive Wars is set in Necromunda, a city that has some nightmarish elements to it. Gangs have populated the streets and are fighting for personal power, wealth, survival, and the honor of their house.
During gameplay, players are able to lead their forces and choose between Escher, Goliath, and Orlock as their gang. Each group specializes in exploiting the terrain to get a tactical edge over their rivals. Players are able to access higher grounds, set traps, and even ambush foes for them into melee engagements. Additionally, players will be able to customize their characters with different costumes, weapons, and color schemes to make them stand out on the battlefield.
