Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections Announces New Playable Characters; Teases New Boruto Story Mode
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect 2 have announced that for the upcoming Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Naruto Uzumaki (Baryon Mode) and Sasuke Uchiha (Supporting Kage) will join the experience as new playable characters. A brief gameplay clip was revealed alongside this news to showcase the characters’ abilities.
Additionally, the companies shared two new screenshots for the game, teasing the original Special Story Mode, where Naruto’s son, Boruto, is the main character. The two images show an unknown individual holding a kunai to Boruto’s face, while the other has him confronting a red Susanoo.
This collective entry will feature an original story alongside the narratives of every Ultimate Ninja Storm title. Further, players can use the new characters Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki during gameplay. For those playing on next-gen consoles, you’ll be able to play at 60 FPS; we’re assuming this is for PC as well. This story combines key gameplay moments from the series that highlight select scenes from across Naruto and Sasuke’s deeply emotional story arcs and features the largest roster of any Naruto game to date.
