Narrative RPG ‘Long Gone Days’ Announces October 2023 Release Date for PC & Consoles
Serenity Forge and This I Dreamt have announced that their narrative-driven RPG Long Gone Days will launch for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on October 10, 2023, for $24.99.
Throughout this game set in a war-torn version of our world, protagonist Rourke finds his worldview shattered when confronting its horrors. He was a child of The Core, predetermined at birth to become a sniper, but when actually facing war during his first mission, he realizes that what he’s spent his whole life training for isn’t what he expected. He becomes a deserter, determined to end this conflict and its resulting bloodshed.
Players will “grapple with numerous real-world complexities, including an intricate web of language barriers,” with integral encounters dependent on your choices. Surpassing linguistic confines will be a tough struggle players will need to embrace. Failing to do so will solidify the reality of war, shattering any attempts at bonds and peace. Turn-based combat is also featured, where Rourke’s sniping expertise can be utilized to target specific body parts. He can fight up close and personal, too.
