G-MODE has announced that Namco Chronicle will launch for Switch and PC via Steam in Japan on May 28, 2026, as part of the G-MODE Archives+ lineup.
Originally developed by Namco, Namco Chronicle was first released on Japanese phones in 2009. The upcoming version is a direct port of that release.
This tactical RPG is built around a crossover of classic Namco characters. Players follow a story centered on recovering the stolen Wonder Eggs, assembling a party of heroes drawn from multiple Namco franchises. Characters include Valkyrie from The Adventure of Valkyrie, Gil and Ki from The Tower of Druaga, and Momo from Wonder Momo.
The gameplay combines grid-based strategy battles with story-driven adventure segments. Combat features skill animations, character cut-ins, and coordinated combo attacks between party members. The narrative is split across three settings: Fantasy, City, and Space, with different allies joining in each world.
