Developer Sukeban Games announced in a blog post that they have indefinitely delayed the release of N1RV Ann-A as they shift their resources to other projects. The team of 6 had planned to release the game in 2020, but that isn’t possible, and there’s a load of reasons why.
The blog post mainly boils down to overcoming creative differences within the writing and how it should go. This caused the team to iron out those problems to produce a better version of the story than they originally had. However, production is a bit more formal for the team now, which means they are trying to stick to a new schedule, which doesn’t fall in line with other projects they are working on.
Moving forward, the developer plans to pace the workflow to create a better game. Still, the circumstances they’ve encountered during development seemed significant enough to set them back by a lot.
Regardless, fans seem eager to continue to support the team and wait for the game that revolves around making drinks for people. The narrative has players engaging in conversations and cultivating relationships with patrons through the magic of alcohol. As simple of a premise as it sounds, these relationships and the story’s direction are what fans are looking forward to.
You can check out our preview of the game if you want to know more, but we can’t say if it’ll be the same.
