Hack-and-Slash Strategy Game ‘Mythmon Mythic Monsters’ Set for Summer Release

Publisher Kodansha and developer MachHabaneroGames have announced that their hack-and-slash strategy game Mythmon: Mythic Monsters will be released for PC via Steam this Summer.

The title features automated combat systems with party-based strategy, with a trainer commanding creatures known as Manima. These creatures take on various forms inspired by dinosaurs, plants, and other designs.

Players build a party of up to five Manima, assigning them to positions such as Vanguard, Center Guard, and Rearguard. These placements directly affect stats and performance in battle. Each Manima comes with its own Behavior and Trait, which determine how it acts in combat.

A central mechanic revolves around equipment. Defeating enemies allows players to take their weapons, which can significantly boost a Manima’s power. However, losing a battle results in losing your equipped weapon, strengthening the enemy.
