My Time at Portia Sequel ‘My Time at Sandrock’ Launches First Story Demo Available Now

My Time at Sandrock was supposed to be DLC for My Time at Portia, but the project became much bigger, and they decided to make it a full sequel. The game is still inspired by Dark Cloud 2 and the Harvest Moon series, but this time they aim to focus on the narrative and build out each NPC of the town. The game will feature a single-player-focused campaign, but they can invite players to their game with multiplayer elements.

Pathea Games have launched a demo for the sequel of My Time at Portia titled My Time at Sandrock; the demo is available now for all players during Steam Next Fest.

This demo was made to introduce players to the story and meet some of the townspeople of Sandrock. The demo offers around 4 hours of gameplay to introduce building things like their starting toolkit and machines. Further, players can explore the desert environment.

Features such as relationships, workshop upgrades, decoration, skill tree upgrades, dungeon crawling, farming, voiceover, children, etc., are not in this story demo. These will be introduced in a later Early Access version.

My Time at Sandrock is in development for PlayStation4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and next-gen consoles for a 2022 release.
