Sandbox Action RPG ‘My Time at Portia’ Finally Gets PC Release Date; Consoles Coming Soon

Team 17 announced that the Pathea Games developed town sim action RPG My Time at Portia will launch on PC-via Steam and the Epic Store on January 15. A console version is planned for Spring 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch both physically and digitally.

My Time at Portia tells the story of the enchanted town of Portia where players are able to begin their new life as they get to work on restoring Pa’s neglected workshop to its former glory. Equipped with Pa’s workshop handbook and workbench, players are able to craft and build to their heart’s content, well, as long as they have the materials available.

My Time at Portia isn’t only a crafting game, inspired by games such as Harvest Moon and Dark Cloud 2, the game aims to take players to a world of fantasy where they’ll be able to fight their way through dungeons, interact with townspeople, play mini-games, find love, and discover everything the game has to offer.

Additionally, the publisher released a new trailer showing gameplay and features that players will be able to discover throughout the game.

My Time at Portia is available now in Early Access on Steam.

Author’s take: This game definitely comes off like a Story of Seasons game, I’m interested in how the narrative of the game progresses as you meet milestones. Maybe it’s worth picking up.
