Visual Novel ‘My Slow Life with the Princess Knight and Her Devoted Handmaiden’ Gets December Release Date

Publisher Shiravune has announced the release date for the international edition of My Slow Life with the Princess Knight and Her Devoted Handmaiden. The visual novel developed by Waffle (Funbag Fantasy series) will be available in English on PC (Steam, Johren) on December 15, 2023.

Known in Japanese as “Dorei Himekishi to Dorei Jijo to no Slow Life”, the game tells the story of an once-illustrious adventurer called Garland. After being betrayed by his comrades and left for dead, he now can’t trust anyone around him and is still in dire need of someone who can tend to his wounds.

Unable to trust people and having a lot of people eager to rob him of his notorious wealth, he ends up buying two slaves. One of them is princess Eleanor from the Kingdom of Pixenzax. She’s a tomboyish individual with a strong will whose talents as a swordswoman led her to becoming a knight. She’s voiced by Kashiwagi Aika, whose previous works include The Pillagers of Raillore’s Millialis, and Evenicle 2’s Kano Lefthand.

The other slave is Farna, a handmaiden who has taken care of Eleanor for a long time and who loves her like a younger sister. Her voice actress is Ayukawa Miina, who was also Hatta Madori in Amatarasu Riddle Star.

With the slaves, Garland will not need to worry about trust as magic would allow him to make them obedient. However, the game seems to be focused on him learning to trust people again after the betrayal.
