New ‘My Arcade’ Retro Accessories and Micro Arcades Launch Window Revealed; Lineup at CES

My Arcade, the company behind retro gaming accessories and collectibles, like their cute, micro arcade cabinets that fit in the palm of your hand, has revealed a new lineup of retro goodies that’ll be at CES 2019, and are expected to launch later this year.

This is headlined by My Arcade’s new partnership with one of the most legendary, old-school arcade companies around, TAITO Corporation. Thanks to this new partnership, My Arcade has a new line of Pocket Players (handheld consoles) and Micro Player retro arcades for iconic TAITO Corporation titles we all know and love, such as Bubble Bobble, Elevator Action, Don Doko Don, and more. My Arcade’s CES lineup also includes an extension of their partnership with Bandai Namco, an all-new Retro Champ Console that plays both NES and imported Famicom cartridges, along with a Turbo Gamepad wireless controller for the PlayStation Classic.

My Arcade’s new retro gaming hardware and accessories will soon be available for pre-order on My Arcade’s website and will launch by summer 2019 via My Arcade’s website,, and select retailers.

If you happen to be attending CES (I am!), you can go hands-on with all of My Arcade’s lineup at their booth at South Hall 1-21030. Since I enjoy playing old-school games a bit, like classic SNK games, I’m looking forward to checking out My Arcade’s lineup at CES.

My Arcade’s new console includes a built-in 7-inch screen that allows for portable play with 3 to 5 hours of playtime via the built-in rechargeable batteries. Retro gamers looking to play from the comfort of their couches can connect the Retro Champ to their TVs via the console’s HDMI output and pair with My Arcade wireless controllers (sold separately). The device is ideal for game collectors, cartridge hunters, and convention/expo goers that need a portable device to test potential new purchases.

Turbo Gamepad for PlayStation Classic [$24.99]

My Arcade is expanding its signature line of classic gamepads to include a wireless controller for the recently launched PlayStation Classic. The Turbo Gamepad boasts a programmable TURBO feature with LED indication and rechargeable built-in battery for over 15 hours of play per charge.

Author’s Take: It’s nice to see that retro gaming has made such a comeback in the past few years! I bet tons of old-school game collectors are looking forward to getting their hands on My Arcade’s lineup of retro goodies, especially the Retro Champ Console.
