Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After Receives Slight Delay in the West

Developer Anchor announced that Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After will launch on PC-via Steam in February, which is a slight delay from their proposed “late January” release window.

The publisher only mentioned that “the BETA closed in our defense line at the last minute” as the reason for the delay, but we can assume that quality has something to do with it. In general, visual novels typically find localization and UI-related issues during QA that would be addressed before release. Still, whatever the reason, we’re fine with the team taking the time they need on the project.

Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After is an all-new story set in the world of Muv-Luv Unlimited. The game will be placed in a new setting with new characters.

The story follows a history where the alternative four plan failed, and so the alternative five plan takes effect. Humanity has succeeded in using a powerful weapon known as the G Bomb, which whipped out all of the BETA hives.

However, this came at a cost as the bombs altered the Earth’s gravity, causing fluxation across the planet. Now, a large portion of the planet is uninhabitable. Humanity then begins to fight for what little resources are left.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the game’s western release.
