The Irregular Corporation announced that the Mediatonic-developed visual novel adventure Murder By Numbers will launch on Nintendo Switch-via the eShop on March 4 and PC-via Steam on March 6 for $14.99.
Murder By Numbers takes place in Los Angeles, 1996. Players meet Honor Mizrashi was is an actress on a hit TV detective show. However, her boss ends up dead moments after he fired her and she finds herself in the middle of her own murder mystery. To move things along, she teams up with SCOUT, a reconnaissance robot that was thrown away. The two team up as she tries to clear her name.
During gameplay, players will be able to investigate a range of cases and search for clues using SCOUT’s sensors. Additionally, the duo will be able to interrogate various characters who come from various walks of life including, TV studio workers, glitzy award show actors, and drag club goers.
Murder By Numbers is being directed by Ed Fear (The Swords of Ditto, Heavenstrike Rivals) with designs from Hato Moa (Hatoful Boyfriend) and music by Masakazu Sugimori (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Viewtiful Joe, Ghost Trick).
The game will be available for pre-order on Switch on February 20, with a 10 percent discount. Steam will host a launch week 10% discount.
