Murder By Numbers Revealed as Detective Mystery Adventure From Hatoful Boyfriend Developers
The Irregular Corporation announced that developer Mediatonic’s newest game will be a murder mystery titled Murder By Numbers coming to Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam in 2020.
Murder By Numbers takes place in Los Angeles, 1996. Players meet Honor Mizrashi was is an actress on a hit TV detective show. However, her boss ends up dead moments after he fired her and she finds herself in the middle of her own muder mystery. To move things along, she teams up with SCOUT, a reconnaissance robot that was thrown away. The two team up as she tries to clear her name.
During gameplay, players will be able to investigate a range of cases and search for clues using SCOUT’s sensors. Additionally, the duo will be able to interrogate various characters who come from various walks of life including, TV studio workers, glitzy award show actors, and drag club goers.
Murder By Numbers is being directed by Ed Fear (The Swords of Ditto, Heavenstrike Rivals) with designs from Hato Moa (Hatoful Boyfriend) and music by Masakazu Sugimori (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Viewtiful Joe, Ghost Trick).
