MOUSE: P.I. for Hire Physical Pre-Orders Live; Digital Editions Detailed

Fumi Games and PlaySide Publishing have announced that physical pre-orders for MOUSE: P.I. for Hire are now live, along with details of the digital editions.

The editions are as follows:

Set in the crime-consumed city of Mouseburg, the game follows Private Investigator Jack Pepper, a war hero turned detective, as he investigates a certain web of corruption. The title features a monochrome, rubber-hose animation art style, executed with techniques authentic to the 1930s, and a retro jazz soundtrack to match its moody tone.

Players can wield era-inspired weaponry, from tommy guns to explosive gadgets, alongside power-ups that enhance combat and traversal. These include items like Spike-D Spinach to boost melee attacks, a Helicopter upgrade for extended air movement, and even a Grappling Hook tail attachment for quick vertical escapes.

Combat occurs across non-linear maps. Additionally, enemies react with exaggerated cartoon physics, while collectibles, clues, and mini-games fill varied locations.

MOUSE: P.I. for Hire will be released on April 16, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
