Apple has announced that Mosaic will be launching on its upcoming Apple Arcade subscription service.
Published by Raw Fury, Mosaic is a dark and surrealistic adventure game developed by Krillbite Studio, the developers behind the award-winning first-person horror adventure Among the Sleep. With the help of Hyper Games, Mosaic is coming to iOS, tvOS, and Mac. The game will also launch on consoles and PC-via Steam sometime later this year.
Mosaic will have players explore the feeling of being caught in the tedious, daily grind at an unfulfilling megacorporation job and try to make sense of it all. As you could’ve of probably guessed, the world of Mosaic isn’t so bright and beautiful as players will live a monotonous and repetitive lonely life in a bitter cold overpopulated city. At first, the player isn’t going to have a real sense of meaning – until one fateful day, when strange things start to happen, and everything changes.
According to a press release, developer Krillbite Studio and publisher Raw Fury were very keen on wanting to explore the idea of becoming a part of a new service’s early lineup of games — since it’s a type of opportunity that indie development studios don’t often see, being offered a spot in Apple Arcade’s library.
