Mortal Shell Launches Free “Rotten Autumn” Update With Mini-Quest and Photo Editor

Playstack announced that Cold Symmetry-developed action RPG, Mortal Shell, has launched its first free content update titled Rotten Autumn.

Since its launch in August, fans have been waiting for additional content, and now it’s here. Following the update, players will be able to play through a new mini-quest, choose from ten new skins, listen to an alternative soundtrack, and mess around with a new photo editor mode.

“We are incredibly delighted with such a warm reception of Mortal Shell and are forever grateful to the community for all the love and support the game has received,” said Cold Symmetry’s four co-founders – Andrew McLennan-Murray, Anton Gonzalez, Dmitry Parkin, and Vitaly Bulgarov – in a joint statement. “We’d like to express our gratitude and celebrate the successful launch with you by introducing this extra content that we hope you’ll enjoy!”

The content centers around Gorf, the humongous verbose amphibian. Players will be able to reach the new content by speaking with him. Those who manage to satisfy Gorf will be reward with up to ten new Shell shades featuring Solomon’s Dracula-inspired war-paint to Eredrim’s regal yellow trim.

From the pause menu, players can access the new photo editing tools to take snapshots of the adventure.
