During an Ask Me Anything on Reddit comic book artist Todd McFarlane gave a little tease about one of his most famous characters, Spawn, appearing in NetherRealm Studios upcoming fighter Mortal Kombat 11.
During the AMA, a user asked “Will you please let Spawn be in Mortal Kombat 11?” with the creator answering “I believe he’s on his way…”
Now, this in no way confirms that the new character is coming to the roster, but it is an insight as to what fans of the series can expect to see in this new entry. The roster of Mortal Kombat has not shied away from crossover characters, with Michael Myers appearing in Mortal Kombat X. However, Spawn has been a character who has been requested by fans since the latest entry and it looks like that will finally be happening.
Recently announced, Mortal Kombat 11 brings forth years of characters and story arcs into one fighting game from a series that has been around for 25-years. The game will feature it’s iconic bloody versus fighting matches and over the top violence that fans of the series seem to enjoy.
Mortal Kombat 11 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on April 23, 2019.
