Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment announced a large amount of information about the NetherRealms developed high action fighter Mortal Kombat 11, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 23.
First off the publisher debuted a first look at the gameplay of the game as well as its story, which will feature a time-bending narrative starring the antagonist Kronika, a boss character from Mortal Kombat history who is the Keeper of Time and creator of existence.
Additionally, a new character was announced name Geras, Kronika’s loyal servant with the ability to manipulate time. Other characters confirmed for the game are Baraka, Raiden, Skarlet, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, and Sub-Zero.
It was also announced that Ronda Rousey will lend her voice to the character Sonya Blade, a long time character in the series. Fans were also treated to a montage of just a few of the Fatalities featured in the game, and trust us, it’s brutal.
Players who pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 will receive the in-game playable character Shao Kahn and have access to the beta that is planned to launch on March 28. There’s also a limited edition available called Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector’s Edition which includes the main game, Kombat Pack, Scorpion mask bust, exclusive steel case, commemorative magnet coin, and authenticity plate.
