Mortal Kombat 11 Introduces Noob Saibot in Trailer and Reveals Shang Tsung as First DLC Character

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a new character trailer for the NetherRealm developed fighter Mortal Kombat 11, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Aril 23.

The trailer features a fan-favorite character named Noob Saibot, which debuted during the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo panel. Following his announcement, the studio also revealed that Shang Tsung will be the first DLC character and will be voiced by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the character in the 1998 Mortal Kombat film.

Noob Saibot was an assassin who was murdered by his clan’s enemy, Scorpion. After being resurrected, Noob became a shadowy presence who has been stripped of compassion and remorse. He considers himself to be the perfect warrior and utilizes his ninja-like and phantom abilities during battle.

Shang Tsung hosted the first Mortal Kombat tournament and uses shapeshifting abilities to strip the souls of his victims, which allows him to maintain his youthful appearance. He also has the ability to morph into characters and use their own moves against them in battle. Shang Stung is one of six playable DLC fighters who is included in the Kombat pack, which comes in the Premium and Kollector’s Editions of the game.
