Mortal Kombat 11 Receives Trailer Revealing Kitana as New Playable Character
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer for the NetherRealm developed fighter Mortal Kombat 11, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 23.
The new trailer has a concept that shows that each player has a fighter within them just waiting to come up. Much of the trailer shows live-action “players” stepping into the fight until the camera shifts to the world of Mortal Kombat 11.
More interestingly, the trailer reveals Katana as a playable character, which I’m sure some of us could have guessed by now. Katana is a 10,000-year-old princess of Edenia who grew up thinking Shao Kahn was her father. However, after learning the truth, she fought back against Shao Kahn and eventually died. Being that this is Mortal Kombat, Katana was resurrected as an evil revenant version of herself as she rules the Netherrealm alongside revenant Liu Kang.
