Soulslike Adventure ‘Morbid: The Lords of Ire’ Revealed in Gameplay Trailer
Merge Games announced they will publish the Still Running-developed Soulslike adventure Morbid: The Lords of Ire on PC via Steam for a 2023 release.
Morbid: The Lords of Ire is a sequel to Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, which was an isometric Soulslike released in 2020. This sequel takes a more 3D approach, where players assume the role of the hero, the Striver of Dibrom, once again to fight their way through a demonic plague. The game will also feature an improved Sanity System from the original game that alters the world based on actions.
Morbid: The Lords of Ire features five worlds to explore with side-quests and secrets. Loot will be available to scavenge across various environments. As the player’s skill improves, the Striver of Dibrom will gain access to new abilities. Further, Runes are available that allow players to enhance equipment to fit their playstyle. Boss encounters include the five Acolytes of the Gahars among a few other elite encounters.
