Capcom released new information about the Monster Hunter World expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. More specifically, the beta sessions that players will be able to take part in.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The first session of the beta begins at 3 am PDT, June 21 through 3 am PDT, June 24 and the second 3 am PDT, June 28 through 3 am PDT, July 1. Preload options will be available to players a couple of days before the beta period begins. A copy of Monster Hunter World is not required to play during the Iceborne beta.
During the beta, players will be able to take on three quests of their choice, including the beginner-friendly Great Jagras hunt. Players will also be able to take on the new horned brute wyvern Banbaro, if they are looking for a challenge. Tigrex is also returning for players to give players an overly tough hunt.
The beta will allow players to test out 14 new weapon types in any of the three quests. The weapons include new features plus players will be able to test out the new Slinger tool options and grapple mechanic. Completing each quest for the first time will earn players a total of three item packs, which be available to use in the full version of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, a PC release is scheduled to come after.
The publisher also released a new trailer that gives a tour of the new lands as well as introduces characters and town.
