Capcom has launched a free update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.
The update is the second free update for the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion. Players jumping in will find a new region for the Guiding Lands area along with additional enemies to hunt down. A new subspecies of Zinogre has been revealed called Stygian Zinogre. This new enemy utilizes the power of dragon elemental instead of lighting, which will put the player’s skills to the test.
Players who are journeying through end-game content will find a new Tundra Region known as the Guiding Lands, which is home to monsters such as Barioth and Viper Tobi-Kadachi. Additional Defender Weapons have also been added for all 14 weapon types.
In case you didn’t know, part 2 of the Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds collaboration on PS4 begins on December 12. This collaboration introduces new gear and quests for players. Part three begins on December 26.
Picking up from the end of the storyline in Monster Hunter: World, Iceborne will have players join forces with the Research Commission once again to explore the undiscovered new land of Hoarfrost Reach. Following an unusual sighting of Legiana from the Ancient Forest, the team journeys across the waters to a new locale with a frigid climate covered in snow and ice. As pioneers, the group soon sets up a new base camp in Hoarfrost Reach called Seliana, which serves as a warm HQ with resources to prepare them for the challenging quests that await.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
