Capcom has celebrated the first anniversary of Monster Hunter Wilds with a first anniversary message by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, introducing future content and the version 1.041 update.
This update, planned to launch on February 18, 2026, will include an in-game anniversary event that will be held until March 19, adding the Special Supplies: Hunter Appreciation Pack, alongside returns of every previous seasonal event for a weekly rotation.
For quests, fans can anticipate a new event quest featuring the 10-Star Arch-tempered Arkveld, with all four previous Arch-tempered monsters also being featured in new 10-Star quests. Timeworn Charms will be granted upon completion, granting higher drop rates for rare talismans.
Other details include that the winning entries in the original weapon and pendant design contest will be made available through a new event quest. All 16 finalists will be credited and added to the game’s credits, too.
Rudy from Monster Hunter Stories 3 will arrive in a new special side mission, with rewards like his costume, pendants, and Palico equipment. Nadia will have a new cooperative mission, too.
Lastly, Tsujimoto confirmed that a large-scale expansion akin to Iceborne and Sunbreak is in the works for Monster Hunter Wilds, with more information planned to be unveiled this Summer.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
