Capcom has shared a new trailer for its upcoming turn-based RPG Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, introducing Princess, who doubles as a Ranger and the sole Rathalos Rider of Azuria.
This new installment follows a rising war between the nations of Azuria and Vermeil. At the center is a crystal encroachment that threatens to consume all. Then, an egg is discovered, hatching two Rathalos. These twins carry the same mark as the Skyscale Rathalos, twin terrors remembered for their role in a civil war two centuries prior.
Players control Azuria’s heir, a leader of the Rangers and the sole Rathalos Rider in the realm. Gifted with powers that allow for connections with Monsties, the protagonist has worked to protect creatures and investigate a phenomenon known as egg quartz.
However, when catastrophe shakes their homeland, they journey beyond the northern Meridian into forbidden territory, chasing answers that might prevent a second catastrophe.
Joining them is Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil. Offering herself to Azuria as a political hostage in hopes of avoiding open conflict, she becomes a crucial ally.
Alongside her trusted Monstie Anjanath, Eleanor joins the protagonist in their expedition, driven by questions surrounding her sister, the Queen of Vermeil, and her nation’s true intentions.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be released for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on March 13, 2026.
