Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Releasing for PlayStation & Xbox April 2023; Pre-Orders Available, Bonuses Revealed
During the latest Capcom Spotlight livestream, the company announced that the Monster Hunter Rise DLC, Sunbreak, will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC on April 28, 2023.
Pre-orders are now available, with the Deluxe Edition granting the following:
- Dragonsbane Hunter layered armor set
- C Hound Palamute layered armor set
- F Devout Palico layered armor set
- 4 Take Aim Gestures
- 3 Fight Pose Sets
- Elegant Eye Makeup
- Fluffy Curls Hairstyle
Moreover, pre-ordering the DLC will provide fans with the Loyal Dog layered armor costume set for Palamutes, and the Striped Cat Palico layered armor set. Plus, free DLC arriving on March 10, 2023, will include 14 Defender weapon types, the Black Belt armor set, and the Veteran’s Talisman.

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest entry of the action-RPG series, where players are tasked with taking on some of the most powerful monsters around. The game is set in the Kamura Village, home to many warriors who have developed unique and innovative hunting technologies. One of which is a special insect called a Wirebug. This allows players to grapple themselves in any direction, making it possible to scale cliffs and structures.
