Monster Hunter Rise Sells Over 12 Million Units Worldwide

Capcom has announced that their latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Rise, has sold over 12 million units worldwide across Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. To commemorate this impressive achievement, new artwork has been shared.

This notable sales figure can be attributed to the game’s recent launch on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, as well as the newly unveiled content in Free Title Update 4.

In case you missed it, the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC, specifically, has sold over five million units worldwide alone. So the franchise is certainly thriving.

Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest entry of the action-RPG series, where players are tasked with taking on some of the most powerful monsters around. The game is set in the Kamura Village, home to many warriors who have developed unique and innovative hunting technologies. One of which is a special insect called a Wirebug. This allows players to grapple themselves in any direction, making it possible to scale cliffs and structures.
