Monster Hunter Rise Free Title Update 5, Version 15 Launching Tomorrow, New Monsters, Melding & Quest Types; June Update Teased

Today, Capcom hosted their Monster Hunter Digital Event, where Dame Fiorayne, voiced by Valerie Arem, discussed the contents of Monster Hunter Rise’s free fifth title update, version 15.

Firstly, the Risen elder dragon Shagaru Magala will join the fray, new event quests will grant exclusive rewards, and additional paid DLC as emotes will allow for greater player individuality.

The elder dragon, known as the “Looming Calamity,” Amatsu, will also make itself known. It can supposedly control the weather, and it has caused severe treachery in its wake. Amatsu will be available at MR 10 and higher, while the aforementioned Risen Shagaru Magala will be at MR 180 and higher. Players can look forward to crafting new gear from their dropped material and learning new skills.

Two Risen elder dragons are being added to Anomaly Research Quests, and the level cap for this activity will rise to 300. Additionally, the Melding Pot has received a new function called “Qurious Melding,” enabling afflicted material usage for better melding.

A new quest type called Special Investigations will be added for experienced players. Monsters in these scenarios will be far stronger than the norm, boasting increased power and enhanced attacks. These quest variations can only be unlocked by completing Anomaly Research Quests at level 300.

New rewards include the Bloodmalice Layered Armor, the Buff Body Layered Armor, and Lagombi Ears. Then paid DLC will feature the “Monster & Elgado Music: Chill Version,” new face paint, layered armor, hairstyles (such as from the scientist Bahari), and the voices of Sir Jae and Oboro the Merchant.

Lastly, the June 2023 update was teased, hosting the last additional monster as a new variant.

Monster Hunter Rise Free Title Update 5, Version 15, will launch tomorrow, April 20, 2023.
