Free Monster Hunter Rise Demo Releases Tonight; New Trailer Showcases Wyvern Riding, New Area and Monster
Capcom has revealed a variety of new information for Monster Hunter Rise during today’s “Monster Hunter Digital Event”. Firstly, a free demo for the title will be launch tonight and be available up until January 31.
You can view the “Monster Hunter Digital Event” below:
This demo provides players with various hunting options, offline play, including local, and up to 4 person online gameplay using all 14 weapon types. Offline local play is available as well, and that does not require a Nintendo Switch Online membership, though the online play does.
Below are the advertised features of the demo:
- Training – Learn the basics of monster hunting, including an introduction to the new Wirebug mechanic and Palamute riding. Solo play only.
- Wyvern Riding – Enter an arena to experience Wyvern Riding, a new feature that allows hunters to ride and guide monsters for a period of time. Solo play only.
- Beginner Quest: Great Izuchi – Ideal for first time players or hunters who need a refresher course. Solo play, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer.
- Intermediate Quest: Mizutsune – A fierce challenge for experienced players only. Solo play, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer.
As an important note, the demo allows for up to 30 quest attempts, counting both beginner and intermediate level quests. The Tutorial and Wyvern Riding do not count towards the quest amount, but they can not be accessed once the 30 quest limit has been reached.
A brand new monster by the name of Gross Harag makes its debut in this title. He resides in the newly revealed area, the Frost Islands, and attacks players and prey using blades of ice.
Lagombi, Khezu, Great Baggi, Barioth, Mizutsune, and Tigrex are the other currently confirmed monsters making their way into Monster Hunter Rise.
Monster Hunter Rise is heading to Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021.
