Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy Announced as a Single-Player Game for PS4 and PS5

Bandai Namco has announced Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy and shared a few details about the game. While the Gundam Battle Operation series is mostly composed of free-to-play action titles focused on online multiplayer, this new entry will actually be a single-player experience released in three episodes. The first volume will be available on November 5, 2021, with the others coming out on November 19 and December 3.

Taking place in the Universal Century timeline (the one from the original Gundam), the game will be focused on a Zeon secret unit called Noisy Fairy. Controlled by Kycilia Zabi, this squad of young girls will have to make great efforts to advance through North America during the One Year War.

The game features the same system and mechanics used in the combat of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2, but that’s not the only connection between the games. By playing through this new title, it’ll be possible to unlock rewards for the multiplayer game, including the Code Fairy original mobile suit. Likewise, players of Gundam Battle Operation 2 will be able to unlock extra missions for Code Fairy.

Besides the basic game, there’ll also be a deluxe edition which includes Gundam Battle Operation 2 rewards, such as t-shirts with portraits of the Noisy Fairy girls, a new helmet and normal suit and two versions of the Noisy Fairy mark. Players who purchase either the Standard or Deluxe Editions on November 4th will get to play the action game 1 day early. A set with 10 PSN avatars is also available for both editions.
