Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost Gets PS4 Release Date in the West and Closed Beta Announcement

Bandai Namco announced that Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On will be coming west on PlayStation 4 on July 30.

Additionally, the publisher revealed plans to launch a Closed Beta Test for the game from April 25 through April 27 on PlayStation 4. Players interested in being a part of the beta can apply at the game’s official website by April 10. Those chosen will be notified by April 17.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On’s roster reaches over 300 mechs, and every stage from the arcade version will be included in this release. Additionally, the development of the PlayStation 4 version is primarily worked on by the arcade developers to make it a worthy port. Also, the game has been balanced and updated based on feedback from the arcade version, and the PS4 version will be a product of the final version of the cabinet.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On was originally a Japan-exclusive arcade game released in 2016. The console version of the game will release globally on PS4 and introduce players to the mech fighting series. Gameplay has players take on matches across 2v2 combat modes where they’ll have access to 183 different Mobile Suits from across 36 Gundam titles.
